I liked it but some parts could have been better. I'm not overly fond of the secret keeping trope. Mostly because it's always the same. Also, the way he kept dwelling on the end of the previous season was a little irritating. I'm not sure how realistic it was to have some of his teammates blame him or at least be vocal about it. And instead of talking to a team therapist or whatever he magically moves past it because of the female in his life.
Collin is sick of all the bad luck as of late. Really what else can go wrong. First he’s Rees up and loses the game and the cup that goes with it, then he’s arrested and now his life is flashing before his very eyes. Literally.
Harper cannot believe she almost ran someone over. Where did he come from? Man this hitchhiker is hot! Little does she realize that almost running him over sets the wheels in motion and fate begins to show her butt! And so begins our crazy fun story……
This book was so much fun to read!! The characters are wonderful, quirky and unique. Ms. Teagan even let some characters from earlier book series, make cameos in this great read. Exciting doesn’t even cover it!
The book is full of hilarious fun and sweet romance. Not to mention a little bit of sexy to go with it making this romantic comedy pure perfection. I cannot wait to read the next book. I really am routing for Ryan and Rhodes. I hope I am right!

I loved this sweet and spicy hockey romance! The meet cute was amazing and so original. The characters were fun and loveable. And the HEA was perfection!
Collin is down on his luck and just needs a break. He meets Harper when she almost runs him over with her car. They instantly click and their banter/conversions are hilarious. Harper is a horror loving woman who is afraid to love. These two start a casual relationship but honestly? It was never really casual. They are so perfect together. This book is sweet, spicy, and so satisfying!

4.25/5 stars ⭐ This was such a pleasant surprise. I only read this book first because I wanted to read the second in the series, and I ended up liking this one more. Chemistry and pacing was great, and the tension continued even after they got together. Harper got on my nerves a tiny bit with the climax, but it was resolved relatively quickly and it was really nice to see the FMC grovel for a change.

PUCK SHY– TEAGAN HUNTER
RATING
⭐⭐⭐⭐
3.5 out of 5.
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Collin's luck is running low - to say the least. After a disastrous year, with him and his team losing the Stanley Cup, getting arrested and tarnishing his public image, he needs to face the music ahead of the new season. In no way should he be getting murdered while on a deserted highway by a hectic stranger.
Harper's love for murder mysteries may have caused something to attract a ghostly figure in her pathway. After narrowly avoiding collision she helps out the handsome man - who fortunately has no intention harming her.
Sparks fly, witty banter flows and Collin easily starts to fall in love with Harper.
But what happens when being a stranger is in the past and reality creeps in?
REVIEW:
I needed a good, funny, not angsty book to tie me over a tiny reading slump, and Puck Shy was perfect for this.
I was grinning at certain parts while reading.
I adored the banter between the main characters, Teagan's humor truly shines through the pages. It wasn't my first rodeo with regards to her stories and it most definitely won't be my last.
If you want to read a cute romcom, infused with gorgeous hockey players, sizzling chemistry and happy endings I highly recommend this book and the whole Carolina Comets series!

This was such a fun intro into the series. I started with the final book and looping back to the first one was an absolute treat.
I adored Harper and Collin so much.
For me this series shines with solid banter, unique characters and really fun setups for how they meet.

HERO /HEROINE:
Collin is a hockey player for the Carolina Comets. He's had a rough go of it since last season when he single handedly lost the Stanley Cup for his team. He's about to lose his job and he is taking his image in the press.
Harper is artsy, fartsy, funny, and is going through life one day at a time. She is building her business and doesn't believe in love.
OVERALL THOUGHTS:
This was cute and it kept pretty light. Lots of cheesy moments and I couldn't relate to her choices half the time but it all came together nicely.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:
What girl agrees to a blind date With just torso pictures??
The guys talking about women the way they do was gross. We get enough of that in real life, the author should at least create a better standard than just women being pump and dumps for men's aggression and frustrations.
FAVORITE QUOTES:
“ “Does that feel good, baby?” she mocks in a deep voice. “I don’t know, Brad. Does it feel good when I lick your belly button instead of your dick? Because that’s about how far you are from my clit right now.” “ please Ryan kills me every time.
SAFETY
AGE:
Colling is 27 and Harper is 24
SEXUAL HISTORY:
Not virgins. It's been a year for Harper and an undetermined amount of time for Collin, I'm assuming at least since the loss of the championship game a couple months prior. The author does go into detail about puck bunnies and how he would go ham for them and often took advantage of it. Also during sex Harper spent more time thinking about how more experienced he was and it ruined it a bit.
CONDOMS:
Yes and then it was the pull out method.
TUMMY BUTTERFLIES:
3 🦋 Collin was charming
“HorrorHarper: Is it wrong to say I hope it scars? Can you imagine explaining how you got that scar to your future wife and kids?
HockeyGuy69: With any luck, I won’t have to.”
PUSH/PULL:
Yes between both of them.
SEPARATION:
Third act break up and three week separation. FMC fights to win him back for two of those weeks because she was at fault for the break up.
CHEATING:
Past reference to a parent having an affair and that experience molds the fmc.
OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama:
No
SEX SCENE WITH OW/OM:
No
POSSIBLE PET PEEVES/TRIGGERS:
Past death of a parent, mentions of assault on a queer person,
HEA/HFN:
HEAIn Vegas celebrating and Collin hints and proposing in the future which Harper accepts.
