I read this on audiobook and loved it -- both narrators did an amazing job and I found it really fun to hear chapters from each character's perspective. The premise was well thought out and believable in the context of the story. I liked that there was also a strong focus on the non-romantic subplots; Lily's struggles at work were especially compelling. I did feel like there were one too many smirks and that the ending was a bit rushed. Overall, though, I had a great time reading and was invested in Lily and Nick's story!

I loved all the sci-fi and fantasy book references. Overall I liked the story, though I think my enjoyment of the book was colored by my frustration with one of the narrators, and I would like to come back and reread this someday in a print or ebook format. But the characters were delightful.

I could not stand the male narrator, Malik Rashad. Every sentence sounded the exact same; he dropped the last word of every sentence in the exact same way, and it came across so monotonous it made me want to scream.  Keylor Leigh as the female narrator was great.

Let me start off with that I'm a huge fan of the online friendship/crush trope. The mystery of who the other person is, the sharing of so much of yourself, the fear when communication suddenly gets cut off, the pining to meet but also the desperation to keep the relationship as is*chef's kiss!* So thus I naturally drawn to this book! In this case, it's more one-sided anonymous with one using a pen name than the usual case but the relationship between the two main characters is so sweet in their emails!

I really liked both main characters, relating to both of them in ways. And it's so heart warming to see them encourage one another and help the other embrace their dreams!

That being said, the instant physical attraction they have is a bit much for me. Makes for some steamy romance later on, but that's not always my cup of tea.

Overall, great story here!

Another book I absolutely ate up. It was sentimental, sweet, even had me smiling to myself a couple times. It’s pretty predictable but I enjoyed all the e-mail and what-if-we-pretend-to-find-me-a-date-when-I-just-want-you vibes. Nick was just too soft for all of it.

4.5 stars rounded up!
