I loved the main male character of this book. I thought that he was well thought out and written well. I also read this book quickly and felt like it did have a good base. I liked it a lot better than the first book in the series. I did have a slight issue with the description of the  main female characters Dyslexia. As someone who has dyslexia I felt like it was a decent representation as the learning disability, but I also feel like it didn’t do justice to how students can be successful. I also found it semi funny that dyslexia was a common theme in the book but the book itself wasn’t even printed in a dyslexic friendly font. Overall it was a good book and I would recommend it to anyone who likes soft romance novels.

Lauren Asher sure knows how to grab your attention with another fantastic rom-com. It was refreshing to see that not everything was resolved with Declan, and I enjoyed seeing the family dynamics on all sides. Cal may be my favourite of the Kane brothers.

Spice:🌶🌶🌶

I'm not really a fan of fake marriage or the pregnancy trope but I enjoyed this book and I think the fact that she didn't get pregnant until the epilogue played a huge part in that.

At first I didn't really know how to feel about Declan because even though I usual  love the silent, brooding type, I hated the way he treated Iris and then he seemed to do a complete 180. It felt a little sudden but I really liked him towards the ends. I really liked Iris from the beginning and her relationship with her mother and grandmother was just amazing! I also absolutely adored Cal. He was such a good friend to Iris and I'm really glad he didn't have any ulterior motives.

I don’t know how I feel.

This whole review contains spoilers.

Declan Kane is an even bigger jerk than Rowan Kane. Despite this fact, I still tried to root for him. It was extremely difficult for the first 200ish pages, then it was really easy for a while, but his fight with Iris was hard to come back from. Maybe it’s my PTSD 🙃

I am a sucker for happy endings like the one we got in this book, though, so my judgement is definitely cloudy.
