The Happiness Equation is one of the most entertaining books that I've read about self-improvement. It is almost always entertaining and just breezes by. The advice itself is mostly pretty useful, too. None of it is groundbreaking, but I don't think that good, reliable advice ever is. I wish that there were more examples about how to apply some of the suggestions in the book, but that is the only issue that I had. I would recommend The Happiness Equation to anyone who's looking to make themselves a little bit happier while being entertained at the same time.

I love Neil Pasricha! He's become hugely successful maximizing personal qualities that I value: optimism, sincerity, and a deeply appreciative view of life. These qualities shine through the book. Is there anything groundbreaking? Not for me personally, but there must be for someone else out there. Are there good life lessons to be reminded of? Yes! I took to heart Neil's advice about "doing everything" and how to prioritize. Outside of the book, he has directly or indirectly helped me to cut back on caffeine, read more books, and enjoy silly things in life a la 1000 Awesome Things. I received this book for free years ago via his email list, and I hope to give it to someone else to pass along the positive energy.

Easy to read, thoughtful points that were quickly applicable in real life.

Good advice on being happy, but mostly on a surface level. Although there weren't that many words in each chapter the book did drag on a little bit, so it was paradoxically a quick and slow read.

He keeps telling his readers what should they do to be happy, and at the end ( secret chapter ) said to not listen or take any advice from anyone.
I'm confused.

I was looking forward to reading this book, but was left pretty disappointed. I felt as though half the content could have been cut without losing anything, and what was left didn't really spark any great ideas or insights.

Loved this book! This was a quick read that I really enjoyed. Highly recommend.

Lucky to hear the author speak and book recommended to me by a good friend. It was excellent. Easy quick chapters. Good food for thought. My favourite take away - you are an average of the 5 people you spend the most time with.
