I haven’t read any of Colleen Hoover books before, but I knew most of them were romance books. So that was exactly what I was expecting. Until she pulled out the Thriller card. I can not put into words how I felt while reading this book. 

I honestly was convinced Verity was a manipulative piece of person, but when the unforseeable, unexpected and unthinkable plot-twist found it’s way into the book, I was shook. In utter and complete shock. Now I don’t know what to believe.

This book will stay on my mind for a extremely long time and I will definitely have to think about it. 

Why minus .25 stars you might ask? It’s just the open ending with a question is not my favorite. Sure, it’s a clear authors choice, but do I like it?

I finished this in one sitting. It’s 1:30 AM. I’m nauseous. I was tense and scared the whole time. The letter at the end? WRECKED me. The manuscript wrecked me. Oh my god. The plot twists are insane, the plot is insane, and the last bit after Crew bit the knife brought up the score so much. Oh my god did that make me feel. I’m shaken.
