This book was a slog to get through nothing really seems to happen till the last part of the book. The way the women are written is starting to get obnoxious, why do they always have to be arguing or pining over men. The middle was bloated and full of melodrama which could've easily have been condensed, the book didn't need to be as long as it was. Nether the less the battle scenes where great and Mat is starting to come into his own.

Had some interesting plotlines, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the fourth book.

I found the best way to deal with the repetitiveness is by taking it as a joke. Same with the unnecessary explanations.
