Wow. What a ride, this series has been! It's had some ups and downs but goddamn if this wasn't a pretty solid finish. Big battles, epic romance, tragic torments, So many dead bodies you can't count 'em!

Glad it stuck the landing here, more or less. It's been a long time since I read a big dumb high fantasy epic, and this really gave everything you could want from one!

*SPOILER WARNING* Giving it 4 outta 5 only because I felt as though there was soooo much buildup for the big war with Erawan only to be handled so quickly and easily it seemed. Other than that can we just all collectively agree that Dorian is just as much a badass as Aelin and then together were an absolute powerhouse. Dont get me wrong I LOVE Rowan’s but Dorian mastered so much I think he deserves some praise. LOL. All in all ToG was an amazing read! Would love to this this series come to life with live action :)

Another end to a series. This book was SO long. Not in a bad way necessarily, but it was hard to be patient for the final battle at the very end. There were perhaps too many characters/pov by the end but I still liked the story. I did predict almost everyone who would die. The one I didn’t see coming moved me enough to give the extra half star for a 4.5 ⭐️ rating.

This series was great at world building. Was it mostly predictable? Very much so. Do almost all of the significant characters magically survive every single dramatic event? Absolutely. But I eat it up every time because I just love SJM’s writing style. She has such a talent of making you feel as though you are there. Manon and her thirteen absolutely STOLE MY HEART. I wasn’t expecting them to be my favorite part of this series finale, but they were! As a general series I preferred TOG to ACOTAR, but the romance in ACOTAR is unmatched!
