A lot of good football history.

Good, but I didn't learn a whole lot. Maybe an over researched topic (this was actually brought up by Ditka in the book). Author approaches ill-advised lecture about how the modern player are "pansies" but stops short and agrees with research pointing to repeated blows to the head as cause of CTE.

I loved this. I know it took me a long time to get through it but I was doing it a chapter at a time between my fiction reads. It was full of great and interesting facts but it wasn't dry or boring, but full of emotion and obvious respect for the team. It was great.

The best book about football and football fandom I've ever read. Doesn't hurt that I've been a Bears fan since I was born. I was only 6 when they won the Super Bowl, so much of the information here is new to me. Cohen has a novelist's eye and stays clear of the pitfalls of the journalist's book about sports. Highly recommended to all readers, but especially to Chicago fans.

Super enjoyable, though it did make me wish I had been just a little older during the 85 season. All I remember from that year is dropping a greasy piece of pizza on a banner I had been making for my parents' Super Bowl party, thus ruining it.
