I'm still undecided about this book. What I liked, was Luce going into her past lives and trying to find a cure for the curse blah blah blah. What I didn't like was how Shelby and Miles and the rest of the characters from Torment were almost forgotten in this book. I was sort of disappointed, I wanted Miles to have his chance again! Also, the ending was a little confusing for me. I think she rushed the ending and spent too much time describing what happened in the middle of the book. Maybe the fourth book will be better.

It was beyond amazing!! I liked it and I finished it in one day. I liked her now that she knew the trusty. She annoyed me terribly in the Second book Torment but now the book was way better. I'm not angry at this series anymore.

Like a lot of the reviews already posted about this book, I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I really liked the whole premise of going back in time to live through Daniel and Luce's past lives and was excited to learn a little more about them. However, like the second book of this series [b:Torment|7740152|Torment (Fallen, #2)|Lauren Kate|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1291053115s/7740152.jpg|7380161], it was sometimes a little slow-reading and repetitive. I didn't think that all of the past lives included needed to be represented.

I'm happy Kate finally gave us the answer as to why Luce and Daniel are cursed to begin with, even though it took the entire book to explain it which was kind of a bummer. I felt that she was purposely dragging us along with the answer just out of our reach simply so we could keep on reading. I feel that if she had told us sooner (maybe halfway through the book) we would have been just as anxious to finish the book and we would have understood some of her past lives better. I think you would have to read this book more than once in order to fully understand all that Kate has written in here for us.

I'm also a little disappointed that she decided to put some of the more interesting characters on the back-burner. We didn't see much of Cam, who has been one of my favorite characters since [b:Fallen|6487308|Fallen (Fallen, #1)|Lauren Kate|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1268869615s/6487308.jpg|6678670]. But we did see enough for me to see that he isn't as evil as Luce believes (something I was never convinced of) and hope that he, above everyone else, has a happy ending. Roland and Arriane (who we get to see a little more of together) weren't as present as I had hoped, as was Shelby, Molly and Gabbe.

Overall, I feel that this series is gradually getting worse with every new book. I think that Kate is just writing what she feels like she should be writing instead of what the story is telling her to write. I still have high hopes for the last book in this series, Rapture, so I hope Kate delivers.

The book is so bad that the entire time I was rooting for Bill and hoping that Luce used the starshot. I gave the book a chance, but it got worse, sadly.

The first half is repetative and boring. We follow Luce as she visits her past lives and "learns something" about her and Daniel. Only nothing she "learns" is groundbreaking, or seems to relate to the life she witnesses. The whole thing seems like a stretch and I'm not buying it.

And then there's the love scenes. Luce loves Daniel the way 13 year olds love Justin Beaber. Its monotonous and I'm sick of hearing about it. I had to take a break halfway through, because I was pretty sure I'd hurt someone if I had to read again about how his wings feel wrapped around her. Blah.

And yet... we get hints of this deep dark secret that will someday be revealed and so I still can't give up on the book!
This is the only series I've ever read when I hoped the main love connection would break up!

I ATE this book up omg this is what I signed up for and the author delivered it

Reading some other reviews dont think many ppl liked the book...but I for one really liked it! I loved all the books and Cant wait to read the fourth!

In the third installment of the Fallen Series [a:Lauren Kate|2905297|Lauren Kate|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1296679724p2/2905297.jpg] delves even further into Luce and Daniel's love by exploring their past lives together. Each life is a mini history lesson with the common characters we recognize (and a few new ones we don't) guiding us through them. As usual [a:Justine Eyre] creates a majestic story with her precise, rich voice. As a result, it took me six months to finish this audiobook. I also have a serious issue with Daniel's changing appearance throughout time. It is mentioned repeatedly, but I don't understand how that's possible: he isn't dying and being reborn every 20-odd years, so why would he look differently in each life? The more I read about how Luce "recognized his soul" the more frustrated I became. That aside, this was my favorite book in the series so far and I'll definitely be finishing it out with [b:Rapture|13639050|Gabriel's Rapture|Sylvain Reynard|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1343962380s/13639050.jpg|19252471], though I may have to wait a few months to start; I can only take so much Luce/Daniel love at once.

I genuinely don't know what I learned from this book. To anyone reading the series: you could skip 99% of this book and only read the last chapter and then move on to Rapture. It could have been condensed so easily and made the series a trilogy. The last 50 pages or so had me so confused and disoriented about what was happening, and as much as I hate to give it only 2 stars, 2 stars is what it deserves.
