This book was so amazing! It completely surpassed my expectations! I loved everything, and Luce learning more and more about her past was really fascinating. This book held me hostage until I finished it! This has to be one of the best books in this series so far, though they are all really good! The only problem I had was the cliff-hanger at the end! Oh boy do I hate cliff-hangers! But this book left me excited and ecstatic for the next installment!
My memory is crap but I remember loving this book. I thought it was so amazing that Luce was able to see all the past experiences her and Daniel had. I especially remember the one where something like Luce was going to be killed in Egypt or something and Daniel didn’t allow it. I’m probably far off but yeah. Also the one in England or something. Poor Daniel just spent the whole book chasing Luce. And I knew something was odd about Bort was it?? I don’t even know. He just came out of no where. Of course he was Lucifer. But I never got the chance to learn more because I kind of fell into a reading slump and gave up on the series after I finished this book. I really did love the series but I was just lazy af. And when I think about it, I didn’t manage to finish a single series in 2018. I didn’t finish the Trylle trilogy, the Kanin chronicles or the Fallen series. I was so hopeless smh. But I only didn’t finish Trylle because my library didn’t have the third book wtf?

Estoy sin palabras. El final me ha dejado tremendamente impresionada
This book picks up where Luce has taken off into the announcers to see “Why Daniel loves her.” The author takes us through several of Luce’s past lives to illustrate how her relationship with Daniel evolves.
First off: LOVE Bill!! (until the end)
Kk. I’m done.
This author is gifted to present well worded descriptions of creative scenes in her story. Unfortunately while I enjoyed reading her writing, I felt the story is again repetitive. Nearly every chapter starts out with Luce eventually finding Daniel, then she goes through the whole " I want to keep him, and hold him, and love him forever and ever and ever. BUT..." They then get to know each other for, oh, what, ten minutes, then *poof* she goes up in smoke. Now that whole thing happens over and over and over. The author doesn’t go into time they have more than 10 minutes to get to know each other let alone get to know any of Luce’s parents, brothers, sisters, talents, hobbies, jobs, nothing. God forbid there be a twist thrown in like Daniel is in a relationship with someone when they meet, or Luce has a husband, perhaps kids o.0 Nope. We just the moment she meets Daniel and dies :(
Thinking back on the different lives the author does tell us about, I am left wanting more. I'd wanted to see how Adrian had gotten her scar, or gotten a glimpse at her relationship with Rolland. What was behind the jealous fight between Daniel and Cam in the first book? I guess I'd expected a lifetime or two Luce had ended up with, or chosen Cam, now that would have added an interesting element. Instead Cam was more than a stand in character for a love triangle plot like Miles seems to have been (another character I liked).
Maybe my expectation for the story is too high. To me there were too many lives telling the same story, it could have been condensed and still been able to get the point across. Here’s a thought, the last book and this one would have been better if they’d been squished together. The plot of the last book to hold the jumping from lives together… hmm.

I enjoyed this a lot more than Torment, probably because we got to truly see Daniel over time, so he doesn’t feel as annoying as he did in Torment. This also gave Luce the opportunity to come into her own and fee empowered. But also what the FUCK are we about to deal with!?!?!
I like this. Not sure if I like where this is going but.....
