But for real, they really are just getting bullied like the whole time 😭 the Heirs are pissing me off and if there isn’t SOME SORT OF CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT amongst them, or justice/revenge, whatever you want to call it, in the next 8 books, I’m gonna scream. I also wasn’t entirely sold on the book tho but once I got used to the Percy Jackson + Harry Potter vibes, I warmed up to it.

If you have other books on your list, I would skip this one and move on to the next. The entire books is a childish mess following twin sisters who are abused, harassed, and tormented by various boys, but yet still want to have sex with them. The plot is mildly mysterious at best and yet, incredibly confused with how much the author tries to include in it. It reads like a torture kink smut book by people with severe insecurities, disguised as a fantasy YA book. Would not recommend to anyone, but definitely would not recommend to anyone under 25.

The book starts slooow, but picks up towards the end. I can't say I enjoyed the book, but I'll read on per recommendations. I wish there had been more explanation of how the magic works and actual use of zodiac characteristics. They would just say things like "I'm a Taurus, so." Hard to ignore the Harry Potter influences. There was a whole lot of nothing valuable and then the plot device just rushes at the end. Easy to see coming too.

I can see why this story will not be everyone’s cup of tea however it is entertaining enough for me to continue with the series.

I listened to the graphic audio and this enhanced the story telling which made me bump up my rating by .5! This was an interesting / entertaining read, the world building was easy to understand and the pacing of the story was easy to grasp.

I like the twins and the unfortunate / sad moments while at zodiac academy for them was not ideal at all. The bully aspect was a bit over the top and I found myself cringing at some moments. I hope in the next books their villian era is filled with vengeance because they have been through enough in book 1. I think this book did a wonderful job setting up the future books and the main plot of the zodiac academy universe. My interests and curiosity for how the story will develop is peaked and i’m excited to continue to read the series.

This book was addicting and hard to put down. It's your typical bully romance but in Fae Hogwarts. Fun listen, well narrated audiobook.

This was a hard book to get through with all the bullying & toxic environment the main characters have to deal with. My friends told me that the series gets better so I sped through the first book. I do like the twins & their strong personalities & hope things do get better … that ending though 🥺. Note: I listened to the graphic audiobook & the cast of voice actors did a great job!
