Even though this book took a long time to get its feet under it (we don’t start really getting anything beyond the set up until more than halfway through the book), the ending is lovely and brings everything together. This is a solid read during times of upheaval (looking at you, 2020), so power through.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ While I thought this book started slow, it picked up quickly and I loved it so much! The characters were great and it went deep enough without feeling too heavy. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

What if you lived life out of chronological order? One year you’re 18 and the next you’re 51 and the following year you’re in your 30’s. But if anyone knew of your condition, they’d think you were mad. How do you function, have relationships, make money, have any sort of social life or maintain friendships from year to year? I LOVED how Montimore explored this idea and Oona is such a relatable and fascinating character as she mentally ages in order, but chronologically lives life out of order. Lots of feel good moments and life lessons combined with bittersweet plot twists. What a fun book!
