Can A.J Truman do it again? Let's find out.
Already like the part in the blurb that say 'anal (not in the fun way)'.
Our lord and savoir Britney Spears.
God Russ really does seem like a dick.
I like Cal 'If your going to haze me at least have to courtesy spank my ass with a wooden paddle'.
Russ needs to fucking chill. And stop clapping. I was wheezing for some reason at all the clapping.
Russ is definitely projecting (I think thats  the word) his fears on the kids learning frist aid and being prepared for the unexpected.
I second Cal's thoughts about Kimber choke and die on flax seed bitch. Okay he didn't say die but I'll say it.
He's thawing he's becoming soft.
I once again second Cal's thoughts what the fuck.
Damn Russ in getting down bad for Cal... I love it.
Of course. Got to love the one bed... tent in this case trope.
Ah Cal has caught up.
Oh yeah into the woods.
Cals younger years sound wild.
I adore them calling each other baby during sex.
Sex and property taxes. The stuff gay men think about.
I'm wheezing 'Welcome bottoms' oh Russ.
Please can Kimber perish. What backwards fuck ass name is Kimber anyway.
Aw love it when the assholes admit there falling or in love.
I love the single dad club, them pretending to vote out Cal now that he's in a relationship.
Aw Cal nearly crying because he thought they were serious.
Nothing says sexy like making the bed before sex.
Excuse me what the fuck Russ?
The single dads joking that Leo doesn't let a guy cum until he gotten a vote from them.
I loved this book so much. On to the next one.

I had such a fun time with this book!! Cal was so funny and I loved how Russ and his relationship progressed. the third act break up that wasn't really a break up was everything to me because Cal said what I was waiting for everyone in a romance book before to say haha. Excited to continue this series!!

4.5 ⭐️

This is one of my favourite reads so far this year! A.j did not disappoint with this story. It has :

I always have a hard time rating books like this. Because while I didn't hate it, I also didn't love it. There was nothing particularly bad about this book, it was decent. I guess you could say it was average, I really don't have much to say about it.

To end on a positive note, I will say I did love how both of the MCs were in their 40s - they were both mature and communicative (even while being silly at times) which was very refreshing.

The male characters are oddly female coded, with mean girls and gay single dads both serving bitch. The sex is… well,  during what should be a vulnerable and intimate scene, the sentence “Soon Russ’s asshole would be as full as my heart.” is uttered. So. It was certainly meant to be funny but that’s a no from me, dawg.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5
🌶️🌶️.5/5

This book was so funny! A touch cringy at times, which I don’t mind from time to time. I wish they delved more into the relationships between father and son (both R/Q and C/J) and the family dynamics of two gay single dads raising sons. It would’ve been interesting to see Josh bond with Russ as well as Quentin with Cal. They sort of stay away from anything too deep for more than a conversation which I feel I could’ve taken the book to the next level if we dove in deeper. But a fun low-angst sweet MM Romance!😁

I feel like 4⭐️ means that it was good, made me happy, had the feels, etc but wasn’t like…something I tell everyone to read. Consider this review a comment on non-specific reviews by yours truly.
