This book was really cute! I want totally jiving with it at the very beginning because the animosity between Cal and Russ felt a little over the top, but the more the book went on, the more they settled into more of an understanding with each other, and then their interactions felt more natural. Once the spice hit in this book, it was ON 😂 they had great chemistry together, that's for sure! And I loved how much they cared about each other's kids. Seeing Russ go to battle for Josh with that awful PTA mom was one of my favorite parts of this book. Overall, I really enjoyed this one. It was really cute and full of heart!
As much as I advocate for realistic mcs and love interests in romance books, I just couldn't get into the story after one of the mcs is described to be a slob, in detail... multiple times.

Cute, though several things stretched the suspension of disbelief to its breaking point.
Sex was well written but repetitive.
The bear encounter in particular did not seem grounded in reality.
The book seemed to end at 80% with the remainder feeling like a series of tacked-on epilogues tying up loose threads.
I thought the characters were loveable and the humor was good, so I might give the next book a shot despite the weird flaws.
