All You Need is Kill, Volume 2 is a manga by Ryosuke Takeuchi and it is the continuing story of a world at war with an alien force and Keiji Kiriya, a Japanese soldier who is stuck in a time loop, with Rita Vrataski, who is the fellow soldier helping him out of said time loop. This had an interesting conclusion, one that I didn't really like.
As I explained in my review for All You Need Is Kill, Volume 1, Keiji is trying to get out of the time loop that he's stuck in. Every morning Keiji wakes up 24 hours before the battle that's supposed to take place in Japan, he lives the day out, goes to fight in the battle the next day and when he dies, he awakes again in his bed the morning before the battle. At the end of Volume 1 it seems that Rita might be able to help Keiji. Before we get to that though, the beginning of Volume 2 starts out with Rita's backstory and it continues on from Rita's perspective. I really enjoyed that part of the manga.
After covering Rita's backstory, we shift back to Keiji's perspective or point of view. Rita explains almost all she knows about the mimics and the war to Keiji and they concoct a plan to win the war and end the time loop.
These are the things I didn't like about the manga,I don't really like the idea that Rita had to die in order for Keiji to break the time loop and win the war, that ending was trash to be honest. I also STILL hate (as I mentioned in my review for Volume 1) how Rita is known as "The Full Metal Bitch", that really irks me.
I liked the story overall and I liked the art, this was a good piece of sci-fi (though it was a bit misogynistic.)

Volume 2 was better than the first for sure. Wicked action and art. Was actually sad it was over so fast. Even if you're new to Manga, check this out.
