Slower beginning for me but I all came back around. It was a cute and easy read.

Back in my short story era to keep up with my reading goal for the year. This book gave me the vibes of this one restaurant called Havana Central and it also seemed very much like the book In the Time of the Butterflies. Not in a dark sense, but in the location and immigration topics. I thought it was definitely predictable but what short story isn't?

There is just something about Chanel Cleeton's stories of old Havana that I absolutely love. This short story is no different.

Im a sucker for lost love and novella style writing. Although this was a short story it felt complete.

Chanel Cleeton really knows how to bring her settings and characters to life. I felt immersed in the story, swept away to a romantic nightclub in Havana, Cuba.  It’s a really sweet, short story that explores second chances, and I loved it.
