Deze thriller van Robert Bryndza zit slim in elkaar! Als thrillerliefhebber kan ik niet anders dan dit waarderen. Gedurende het verhaal krijg je meerdere aanwijzingen over wie de moordenaar zou kunnen zijn. Is het persoon A, of toch persoon B? Ik merkte dat ik er niet uit kwam, en toen vervolgens bij de onthulling het nog anders bleek te zitten dan ik had verwacht, las ik met een tevreden gevoel het boek uit. Wel voel ik minder mee met het Erika, het hoofdpersonage van deze serie. In dit deel lijkt ze wat afstandelijk, afgedwaald. Haar personage maakt wel enige ontwikkeling door, maar toch voelt het wat slapjes. Desondanks heb ik me prima vermaakt met dit boek.

Didn’t rate this as highly as others in the series and thought it went off on too many tangents with a somewhat ridiculous last few chapters. Felt that there were lots of unanswered questions and it seemed to drift away from the main story. Not bad though, but not great either.

Achei o livros anteriores decepcionantes em comparação com o primeiro. Neste o autor reencontrou o ritmo. Talvez por ter focado menos na vida amorosa da Erika e mais no caso. Aliás já estava quase reclamando da solução quando o autor surpreendeu e acrescentou mais uma peça. O mistério foi interessante e a violência não foi explícita como em outros casos. Torço para Erika não se envolver com outro policial porque está mais que provado que o caminho não é esse.

Took me a bit to get into it, but as the previous books Robert has done a really good job and I loved how Erika developed throughout the series so far.

Best Erica Foster book yet! I feel like we got a lot of development of her character in this book.
Also brilliant plot with a great twist at the end!!
