what the actual was this book? Plot was there but like didn’t happen ?? Big deep moments were thrown in but at the same time nothing happened at all?? Confused on why this book was such a miss for me when I LOVED the first one in the series? Also, kinda weird that this was happening tangentially w the first…

It was good for what it was... I just feel like nothing happened for like 500 pages and then it was over. Really disappointed that the FMC's entire character arc was devoted to partying and sex when there was so much potential in the storyline of her being a recovering athlete.
Just not for me.
Just not for me.

This series has genuinely impressed me. I had gotten to a point where I’m scared to read hockey romances because there are some bad ones out there. So I go in hesitate, but S.J. Sylvis has helped me feel better going forward. This is a coach’s daughter plot line that we were teased of in book 1 and Riley and Aasher did not disappoint. The storyline played out well, the ending was a little bit abrupt, maybe a couple more chapters would have tied all together a little bit better but everything else was really fun. I’m excited to eventually get book 3 because the found family has been a lot of fun to read about as well. So if you are looking for a quick, cute, fun college hockey romance series with a fun found family aspect to it look no further!
