The summer of 2020 will be remembered for many things - quarantine/pandemic, presidential race, struggles of a wide variety for many BUT, most of all 2020 is the summer I finally got to me Hadley Zablonski in Tempted By Love!! (PS-she isn’t even the main heroine, her mama is) Hadley is the cutest almost 3 yr old fictional character I’ve ever met. This little girl will wrap you around her precious little fingers with just one little scowl (smiles are reserved for special people, aka Jock Steele). Hadley is the daughter of Daphne. Daphne is the manager/receptionist at Bayside Resort. Daphne has been through some tough times learning to be a single mom, getting divorced from a man who didn’t want to know or want to love a child. Jackson “Jock” Steele is a man still reeling from some horrible events 10 yrs in his past and most recently the death of the man he cared for, Harvey. Jock has a long road ahead of him to be able to put his demons in the past and forge a new path/reconnect with his family who live on Silver Island. Can Daphne and Hadley help Jock find that path? If I’m not careful with all I want to say about this newest love story by Melissa Foster I will be giving away the story and that is not happening. So, just know that you will need tissues for happy tears, OMG tears, you will find yourself in some pretty steamy between the sheets scenes, and completely falling in love with the newest world of Melissa Foster. Sooo many new characters to love and visits/connections with ones you already know and love. I found myself with tears, saying “Oh My Goodness”, and literally bouncing on my toes for this new world. If you love big families, alpha males who will love, protect, and fall hard when they meet the woman meant for them, then you will love this newest world of Melissa Foster, The Steeles of Silver Island. The first book in this new series is Tempted By Love (Jock and Daphne). Each book can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend alI books from Melissa Foster. The Bayside Desires series is the most closely related series. For the audiobook, Brian Pallino’s performance is great, I love the deep baritone, especially for those oh-so-hot between-the-sheets scenes! Jennifer Mack does an equally outstanding performance as Daphne and Hadley. This beautiful love story is great even if you only read the words. But, listening to this story is brought beautifully to life by Brian and Jennifer is a whole new experience. I have come to learn that voice-narrators/actors are so talented because of all the voices they may have to create/perform in a story. Totally recommend this audio not just for the story or the voices but for the whole experience. I received an audio copy in exchange for an honest review. 5-stars easily!! *****

Jock finally gets his HEA! I loved Jock when we met him in a previous book. I love a brooding grumpy man that is broken and needs to just be loved by the right woman. And did he ever!
Melissa Foster has a way of weaving her stories together so that you really don’t realize one series ends and the new one begins. Her characters just come to life in worlds that seem soo real.
Daphne is a single mom of an adorable little girl. Daphne is trying to navigate through life. In comes Jock whose tragic past stops him from pursuing Daphne. Hadley, her daughter, never smiles for anyone until Jock.
Watching how Jock navigates from despair and overcomes his tragic past to learning to accept the death of his son, was beautiful. He truly wanted to be in both Daphne and Hadley's life.
A beautifully written love story that moves us from Bayside to Silver Island. I can’t wait to learn more about Jock’s family.

Written in Third Person POV. I think I need to read all the back series for this because the side characters are plenty for me to wrap my head around this book. Overwhelming is an understatement.
I really enjoyed this book. Melissa Foster started a new series with Jock and Daphnie's story and it is just as addicting as the rest of her books. This book was full of emotion and helped remind me why romance is such a fantastic genre to read. We'd met Jock in another book, but that story was not needed to enjoy this. One thing I adore about Melissa Foster is she writes interconnected books that are also standalone stories. I definitely recommend reading this book.

Each time I pick up a Melissa Foster book, I'm blown away. Her characters are intense, real, charismatic, and I adore them!
TEMPTED BY LOVE is the first this mini-series (part of the larger Love in Bloom series) about the Steele family. It ticks off so many of my favorites right from the start - small town, alpha male with a tragic past, main character who loves books or writes, single mom, and big family. I adore the Steeles! I initially picked up MY TRUE LOVE - Jules' love story - but decided to start this one instead about her brother Jock's happily ever after.
The single reason this book took me a week to read is because it's a beast of a book and I had my heart set on reading it in paperback format. Not the easiest to carry around :)
I loved Daphne and her daughter Hadley from the first page! Daphne's a single mom, divorced, and working at a resort on Cape Cod. Right from the start, I loved how her friends were a big part in her life, and it's fun seeing Emery and Dean - from BAYSIDE PASSIONS - after their own happily ever after. One thing that made me sad was how Daphne struggles with her "mom bod" and doesn't think she's attractive to Jock. As a mom, I know the struggles, and I loved watching Jock help her through that.
And oh my gosh, talk about a tortured past for a hero! My heart broke for Jock the minute his tragedy was revealed and I wanted to help him through it almost as much as Daphne did. And then you find out he's an author and I fell in love with him even more.
Jock's family - I love big families! They're the best part of Melissa's books. All those interconnected stories and people popping up again and again. And twins!! I think there's like 3 sets of twins between these two families. Twins are my JAM! I absolutely CANNOT WAIT to see Archer (Jock's twin brother)'s love story! And I love the rest of his family - his mom and dad with their winery and his pushy, super-happy sister Jules! They were definitely my favorites.
This book definitely has a couple GASP moments and I was on the edge of my seat, anxious to see how it all played out. Melissa is a master at crafting stories that squeeze your heart and give you all the feels. While I recommend starting at the beginning of the Love in Bloom series so you're more familiar with all these amazing characters, you'll fall in love with Jock, Daphne, and Hadley just as easily if they're your first introduction to Melissa's books.

I feel like I have been waiting for Daphne's HEA forever and it was totally worth the wait! Melissa Foster is one of my all-time favorite authors and this is definitely in my top five favorite books of hers. It is also one of my favorites this year! Daphne, Jock, and Hadley stole my heart from the first page. I couldn't put it down! It was such a sweet story and I highly recommend it.
