So, first I'd like to say I REALLY enjoyed this. It was pure fun and it made me smile with the characters' romance and personality. I felt like Annie and Ronan fit and they were super cute together (sometimes to the point of mushy-ness).

This book REALLY focuses on this couple so I can't say too much about the surrounding cast, but I've got a soft spot for Joan at least.

There are a couple of reasons why I can't give this book more than 3.5 stars, thought:

1. Insta love - this book is really very insta-love-ish. He sees her eating Eclairs and that's it for him, and she spends a few moment in his overbearing proximity, with him crowding her, to have a hard time concentrating on why them being unprofessional together would be unprofessional and ill-advised.

2. He was really a bit too hands on from the beginning - don't get me wrong - I loved Ronan (any character named Ronan gets a star for me just because of Maggie Stiefvater. If you know what I mean). BUT, and here's a big but... he was a bit too pushy at times. I don't think pushing women you don't really know - even if you pretty much fell in love with her at first sight - is okay. I don't think saying provocative, dirty things to women who you don't know is okay. If someone came on like this to me on an elevator, I would feel slightly violated and very shaky. But if it's my boyfriend or something, I might be a-okay with it. The key factor here is that they are practically STRANGERS at this point. This is a big no-no for me.

OMG!!! I just listened to the Audiobook. I can't believe I am saying this, but it made the story even better. So many laughs that I got to laugh out loud this time. Happy dance!!!

I tried to like this. I really did. But then it got to the part where sexual harassment was romanticized and seen as sexy and I just couldn't do it anymore.

First things first! I am going to clarify that it is not what you are thinking when you first read the title. It isn’t about a prostitute/hooker on the street trying to romance a hermit. Well, it is half right I should say. You see there is a Hermit. Her name is Annie. She happens to work in social media, but is rarely seen. She prefers being alone and out of the public eye. The Hooker part is a guy name Ronan. Hooker is actually a position he plays in Rugby. He is also a bad boy who needs his image cleaned up after getting into a fight with his team mate.

Too be fair to Ronan, his team mate deserved the beat down he got. He was caught cheating with his girlfriend. I guess he shouldn’t have fought him in the public eye though because he gets suspended from the team. While on suspension, he takes a break to stay in USA. This is where he meets Annie and her team of media clean up crew. Annie has a secret of her own though. She is the famous Socialmedialite blogger that has lived under the radar with no hint of who she is.

These two quickly start to fall for each other even though they are from two different places and personalities. I did have a slight problem with how Ronan handles the aftermath of her secret being revealed. Really? You are going to turn your attitude completely around from the way you have been treating her and be a jerk? I didn’t find it believable because Ronan treated her with nothing but care, love and respect up until that point. Also nagging me in the back of my mind was how furious Annie was when Ronan admits to knowing her secret identity. It irked me that she got so mad at him when she was the one hiding the secret.

The ending was satisfying and the writing was great. I do hope we get to read about more of the characters in this book. I would love a story featuring Annie’s boss!

This was honestly such a cute book. Both MCs were a little stubborn at points, but it just made the angst better. This is a cute (and relatively quick) read if you have the time to dedicate to it.

Read this in less than 24 hours. Once you get over the cringe of the frist few chapters that screams "I was written in the 2015-2017" years, so so good. For being a posed as a sports romance, there is very little to do with rugby in this book, but I feel like I have more hope for the rest of the series in that category? Either way I ate up Annie & Ronan's relationship.
I also had issue with the word hermit because it just isn't a fitting word for Annie. Introverted, keeps to herself, closed off? Yes, but there is a lot of layers that the word hermit fails to acknowledge.
