4 stars for the plot (it lost one for plot holes too big for even YA fiction*) and 3 stars for the writing, which was clunky and lacked nuance most of the time. I enjoyed it for the most part, though it won't make my re-read list.
SpoilerAnd I felt the sex was completely unnecessary in a YA book - Nick could just as easily have been distracted without Beth falling into bed with him.

SpoilerIf you clicked this you've been warned. Plot holes include how a former student can be so totally clueless and waste money so casually on cafe food, her complete safety on the streets, and how Nick can so easily throw his career and - potentially - his life away.

This was Gym Reading for me, aka free or cheap on the kindle. I'd read Revellian's other book, Remix, a while ago and liked it pretty well, so I was happy to see I had another book by her in my Kindle. This was...okay. It was readable, but I never got totally into it. Beth was just so incredibly bland. And it was entirely unbelievable that she could just keep outsmarting the MI5 people. It also felt like she was so careful in the beginning (and the MI5 were so thorough) and in the end they just seemed to forget about all that. Eh.

Overall this was a good book and kept me guessing what was going to happen next. The only thing I did not like was the ending. It seemed a little rushed and unfinished. I would definitely read it again and suggest it to others to read.

I got a Kindle for Christmas, and was looking for something to read on it when I was knackered at the end of Christmas day. So I wanted something light, and I found this on the Kindle store priced at 99p and with very high review scores. It's a romance novel about a woman who is accidentally duplicated in a secret MI5 experiment that goes terribly wrong. So clearly I had to read that. And it was about as ridiculous as it sounded, but ridiculous in an enjoyable way.
