Ahhhhhhh Dean Cole may be my new fave hot hole. I loved this book and even tho it was similar to Vicious, it was different and dare I say better! I really loved getting a deep dive into Dean’s life! Looking forwards to reading Scandalous!

Makes you feel all the feels!

Dean was sweet, Rosie tragic. But overall a good read.

This relationship touched me in the best way possible

I loved Vicious and Defy and was so thrilled to finally have the chance to read another story about a Hothole. These guys are just something special and you can’t help but want to uncover their secrets. I was on the fence about how many stars to rate Ruckus, because I struggled through almost all the first half of the story, but I adored the second half. I was pretty busy when I started this book and could only read a couple chapters at a time, making it difficult to get immersed in the story at first. I think it might be the reason it took me so long to really feel the impact of this novel.

Dean Cole and Rosie LeBlanc have an heartbreaking story to say the least. Both as individuals, they had to fight with life situations outside of their control, but they also had to fight for their forbidden love. They met while teenagers, leaving a permanent mark on each other, but Dean ended up dating Emilia, Rosie’s sister. Dean has so many secrets he hides behind his funny side and drinking, but Rosie sees the real him. By respect for her sister she tries to stay away from Dean, but the powerful connection they share is too hard to fight and it brings steamy moments.

An aspect of this book I appreciated was the relationship between the LeBlanc’s sisters. With their different personalities and obstacles that could have tear them apart, they just hold on to each other more than ever. Their bond is just unbreakable. The stormy brotherhood between Dean and Vicious was incredible too. These two Hotholes have always been in a kind of rivalry over the LeBlanc sisters bringing tension in their friendship, but they try to salvage it. The broody Vicious has pretty spectacular moments in this book and I must admit that he's still my favorite!

The last quarter of Ruckus was absolutely remarkable. I was hooked by every line I read. L.J. Shen knows how to make you feel every single emotion fiercely. I shed a load of tears, laughed at Dean’s cocky attitude, smiled at Rosie’s fragile yet strong personality and melted under their passionate love. I’m definitely glad to have persevered through my read, because Ruckus was truly moving with some unexpected twists. I loved the epilogue and can’t wait for Trent’s story now!
