I'm mostly just very disappointed in myself.
Because girl, I had a MASSIVE book hangover after reading the perfection that was Vicious. He was everything that a lovable douchebag should be.
But I said, "oh no, you can handle it, read that next book."

And as a result, I basically prevented myself from loving this book.
Here's what I didn't love:
I think it's extremely difficult to get characters that were involved in relationships in previous books to really impress. Both the hero AND the heroine of this book had VERY strong ties to the hero and heroine of the last book. No mystery at all there. And you kind of don't like Dean to start off this book because of his background from the last book.
Additionally, I wish that Dean's main internal (and I guess external too) conflict in the book had been laid out better. It wasn't a huge reveal, I guessed what it was, and I think Dean would have been more relatable if he just talked us through it. The glimpses of him that we do get are AWESOME, I loved the astronomy and hidden depths. I just wish that had been explored a little better, like it was in the previous book.
And just generally speaking I tend to prefer more tension in my romances; shit went back and forth for a while and then 0 to 100 REAL FREAKIN QUICK which I don't normally love.
All that being said I think that the main characters had really good chemistry. I loved Rose as a character; she was perfectly independent and thoughtful given her illness. And I just generally have fallen for this series. You want to root for and love on these guys.
It wasn't perfect but it was definitely worth a read.

Shen Takes Everything You Thought Knew And Crushes It
Ok so once again, I’m in the same place for the third time. From now on, I will not resist when I one click a LJ Shen book onto my kindle. If you thought Vicious took you there, prepare your heart as best as you can because Ruckus takes you to a whole nother universe. Ruckus was the perfect title for this story, Shen couldn’t have named it better. Oh what this story did to me. I felt it on the surface, below the surface, I felt it in my bones. Shen gave you all the love, all the sweetness, all the heartbreak, all the sacrifice, all the emotion, all the angst, point blank, she gave you E VE RY THING in this story. Rosie and Dean’s story was so much more than just a love story. Shen you broke my heart and I had to piece it back together all wonky and wrong and then you broke it again but manage to piece it back together the right way. But, not before giving me this all consuming, addictive, unforgettable story that was Ruckus.

Dean and Rosie's story blew me away! I definitely loved the twist and turns, I felt like I was in the turmoil of a tornado. It made me scream, laugh and had my heart twisted in more ways than one. So many painful moments yet an overall beautiful story. After so many years they finally get their chance and what a ride it was to get these two together. Bravo 5 stars!
Amazing. Just wow. I didn’t expect to love Dean but I did. The story had me on the edge of my seat and I didn’t expect anything- I was shocked and surprised by all the twists until the very end. I love that the story wasn’t predictable and the love these two had for each other bled from the pages
i’ve read broken knight before i read this book. safe to say i’ll be never about to re read broken knight again if i don’t want to sob my heart out. it was so easier to read without fully knowing rosie and dean
Ok, while this book is a great read, Dean is my least favorite of all the Hot Holes in this series. The man needed to get it together so much sooner and Rosie's situation was absolutely heartbreaking. Even though he wasn't my favorite hero, LJ still had me hooked from beginning to end while these two tried to make it work and deal with some pretty shitty life circumstances.
wow, just wow. i really wasn't expecting to love this book so much but wow
