Om dit verhaal uit te lezen voelde erg dubbel.
Enerzijds voelde dit als een opluchting, maar anderzijds baalde ik dat het verhaal voor dit boek afgelopen was.

Eerlijk gezegd heb ik me echt door bepaalde delen heen moeten worstelen, en leek er geen doorkomen aan. De laatste 150 bladzijdes ben ik daarentegen echt door het verhaal heen gevlogen en wisten voor mij ook veel goed te maken. DIE ONTKNOPING; I CAN'T
Ik vond de gehele setting waarin het verhaal zich afspeelt wel weer enorm goed neergezet.

En ik heb wel opeens zin om direct Onyx Storm op te pakken, wat ik in het begin van Iron Flame helemaal niet ervaarde. To be continued.

WAR IS OVERRRR I AM FREE FROM THIS BOOK!!!!

The story is actually kind of entertaining during the chapters when Violet and Xaden aren’t anywhere near each other, unfortunately anytime they have any interaction whatsoever it’s basically unbearable. Picture the two most annoying kids from your highschool that would always makeout in the hallway during passing time and break up every other week. There you have it.

I think I just need to accept that romantasy is not for me and move on with my life bc god this was such a SLOG for me. The wyvern/venin were cool, so I give it points for that, but I really could’ve done without the romance.

Also absolutely hated the entire Cat storyline. Can we please move beyond “bitchy” female characters whose entire purpose in the story is to try to “steal” the man from the poor, frail FMC who has never done anything wrong ever… gag. NEXT!

I will probs be watching youtube video summaries on the future books in this series bc I just cannot justify reading another thousand pages of this.
