The perfect book, if ever there was one! A book so enjoyable I put off finishing it. Beautiful writing, intriguing plot, immaculate ending. Magnificent.
The description and reviews had me very hopeful for this book, and yet I found myself speed reading it just so I could be done with it. The book dragged on and the writing was too wordy for my liking. The characters were very flat, even the main character.

A great historical fiction book with a young, strong, unique female lead. This book shows the perils of women being possessed throughout history, regardless of station. We still have further to go before we are truly free to do as we please without a man stepping in.

this was slower to start but i started to enjoy it a lot more as it went on. i really enjoyed the writing in the book and i thought the symbolism was done really well throughout. however i definitely struggled to get invested in the character and plot but it is very well crafted overall.
