Just wanted to go on record saying this review is more about how helpful I feel this book is gonna be and less about the writing style which is pretty repetitive.
Taking the 5 S’s and stuffing them DEEP into my brain!!!!!!!

Hm, I took something away from the book and it’s definitely a quick, easy and enjoyable read. I am however very skeptical of swaddling and am not sure if I would recommend the book. I didn’t find the research sound enough to convince me and it’s definitely a highly debated topic.

This book is immensely helpful if you’re going through the newborn sleep trenches/colic. But unfortunately as far as establishing a good sleep routine after 3 months it wasn’t very helpful. I will say though, I did appreciate the author’s tone. Unlike some infant sleep books it didn’t try to guilt you, if anything it made me feel better about holding my baby all of the time, because older generations love to tell you otherwise. Was a little repetitive and slow at times though.

Fine suggestions, could have been an article instead of a whole book.
Some great advice on getting your baby to sleep and some interesting perspectives on colic. I could have done with a little less around colic theories and gone straight to the advice on calming your child. The 5 S's really worked well for us and it was easy enough to share with the grandmas for them to use as well.
