The art of this graphic novel is amazing. It's been a while since I've read the book, but the rendering of the characters matches so well with what I imagine them to look like. I like the parts of the book they chose to include and really wish they'd done the other books, too.
A fairly decent graphic novel of the first blue bloods book. Only complaint is they cut out some things I would have liked to see drawn. Also felt a lot more rushed than the book, but suppose that can't be helped.
Another great, graphic novel addition to a prestanding series! One aspect that prevented a 5 star rating from me was the character drawings: none of the characters were depicted as I imagined them in my head (except for maybe Oliver). I imagined Sky with a little more spunk, Jack with nicer hair and more boyish features (not the default "strong, hard jaw" of many heroes), Mimi with more of a classic look, Bliss as more curvaceous, and Dylan as more of a badass than a mainstream "rocker". But I guess none of this was the artist's or Melissa's fault.
I don't really remember the exact story--it's been a while since I read it--so I can't say how accurate the graphic novel is. However, if Melissa had anything to do with it, I'm sure it's true to the original. Overall, it was a nice addition as I said, but I like my imagined characters better. I've yet to decide if I will be continuing the graphic novels (although I most likely will).

A really interesting story and beautiful graphics. It really held my interest.
Okay, I haven't read the first Blue Bloods book in like ten years... but damn, this made me want to read them ALL!
Beautiful art accompanied a very original vampiric story, with great allusions to history that I personally found fascinating. Any fiction that centers around Roanoke Island and that mysterious word "Croatoan" has me immediately.
Guess I'm adding the novel series to my TBR list.

This graphic novel was kind of blah...not great and not bad. I had never read the book and had been interested in knowing the story so this was the alternative because I feel l like I have an understanding about the 1st book in this series.
If there are more graphic novels in this series I probably won't read them.
The art work was really pretty in the story but the font was horrible! so small in places and hard to read, that was kind of annoying.
