So I read the other volumes and very much enjoyed them, so I feel as if volume four was the perfect touch as it gave us an insight into Erica’s background.
One thing, I love Jessica. I love the way she took in Erica and cared for her as if she was her own.
I hope volume five will have more Erica, Jessica and Aaron scenes because I loved them three together.
As for Buck, he’s like that fun uncle that everyone loves to have around.
Another thing, the artwork in this novel is beautiful and I love everything about it.
My favourite characters:
Jessica, Erica, Buck and Aaron

We get the full origin story of Erica and its heart-breaking. Her life was destroyed and then the order made it better? Worse? Good question. Readers learn more about the House Of Slaughter and its workings. Its good, informational, and necessary but I wished it was broken up over a longer time frame while we got to witness more of the Archer's Peak aftermath. The art was still very good, especially how 12 year old Erica was portrayed (like a tween). The coloring was too dark at times though. Overall, still a good addition to the series but I was hoping for more of a connection to the previous three volumes.

SO GOOD! This is my favorite volume yet - great and badass origin story for Erica with fun lore on the House of Slaughter. Never thought I'd retroactively be sad someone died, but here I am.
The initiation felt a tad too easy for the build up, but otherwise great.

Erica's origin story! It was neat to see how the order operates and who Jessica was.

Even as a kid Erica Slaughter kicks ass. We get a significant portion of Erica’s backstory in this volume and the girl has dealt with some TRAUMA
