reeyabeegale's review against another edition
I just finished this and halfway through it, I realized I should have probably waited until Christmas before reading it. For now, I'm not going to rate it, I'll reread in time for the Holidays and see how I feel about it.
I appreciate this book, I was laughing at some of the banter (that probably says a lot about my humor but, oh well) and I needed an instant pick-me-up before starting another book.
To be honest, I didn't take this book seriously. It's meant to be entertaining and that's exactly what I got out of it. It was a bit weird though reading how people talk sh*t behind your back in the work place when you originally thought you were allies.
One thing that did bug me was how Savannah and Garret's relationship worked. There were scenes where they talk comfortably about things outside of work. It's probably just me, since I don't like over-familiarizing myself when it comes to my superiors at work.
Nonetheless, it was a good novella. If you want something quick and simple, you should consider picking this up.
