Casey did it again! I am so entranced by this story and these characters that I am so sad it is over!!

I was shocked to find out that this whole book was about Citali but was not disappointed! We were able to dig into her emotions and motives and find out who she really was and why she is they way she is! She is fierce and strong and kick ass!!!

Beron might just take it for my Bond men! I liked him from HoE but grew to enjoy him more in this book! His pack of wolves and the bond and family they have is filled with love and heartfelt moments you could just picture yourself sitting with them!

This book was a perfect translation of what a mother would do for their children. Nothing can break the love a mother has!

Let me share my thoughts now that I’m done crying lol:

- I loved it just as much as the first one if not a little bit more :) I loved Beron in the first book and now I love him even more!

- Can we talk about Chase? Can we talk about how much I love him? He needs his own book. And Holt. This book really had better supporting characters compared to book 1.

- I loved watching Citali redeem herself throughout this book. And go from the absolute bitch she was in book 1 to becoming the Goddess of Death, The Dark Sun, Queen of Wolves, Queen of claws and teeth, Gift of the Moon, and Boss Bitch. I want her confidence lol

- Omg the dying speech Beron gave to Citali as he was dying. Me=> sobbing uncontrollably. It was possibly the most beautiful declaration of love and the most heartbreaking. I could not stop crying.

- Anubis was a cool villain but I feel the battle at the end was over a bit too quickly. There was such a build up to it that it felt a bit rushed and he lost too easily. Also dude makes zero effort in decorating his obsidian pyramid lol like at least brush away the cobwebs bruh

- I liked the Sphinx a lot more in this book. Love how close she is to baby Reyan. I wonder which path he will take. Become the next Aten?… The next Wolven?… or become a representative of his mother?

- That scene when Beron says to Citali that he will love her forever and she says she will love him beyond that because she’s immortal and will have to watch him die. Me=> sobbed uncontrollably again.

- I don’t understand why Beron wouldn’t be immortal since his soul is bonded to Citali’s

- That moment where Beron calls Citali “My Dark Sun, Gift of the Moon, Fire of my Heart, Queen of Wolves”
Me=> cried again lol

- Not a big fan of the whole jealousy thing with Amaris. I feel the same thing happened in the first book and it feels a little immature and teenagy. But to be fair this is a YA book series.

-Did I mention how much I love Chase?

The first part could have been shorter, while the second part at some points felt a bit rushed. I would also say, that the series felt a bit flad, would have loved a deeper dive into the egyptian mythology and the characters, but all in all a nice series that felt refreshing and different

First half reminded me of Twilight(New Moon to be precise) and second half was more of a Moon Knight (Disney+ tv) vibe...

House of Wolves by Casey L Bond
“I thought I told you once to never underestimate me, Wolven”
~~~
Book 2 was just as detailed as the first. Amazing plot, characters, humor in some parts. The world building that Bond used, especially in this book, was outstanding. The adventure in this book had a lot more parts than the other, which made it a little slow. But in the end the final outcome was amazing and powerful! Still not a spicy book; but the romance between the love interests was amazing. Please don’t sleep on this author, they are amazing. Also again, the artwork they have for the naked covers for their hardcovers. Hell yea!
Amazing story
Citali and Beron's story was not what I was expecting it to be. It was still amazing though and Citali grew on me. In fact, I might like her more than Noor.
