I LOVED this book!! It’s hard to put into words how this book made me feel - it made me laugh and cry. It inspired me and had me itching to read more.
The writing is done SO well - the metaphors and descriptions are so beautiful and all the characters feel so real.
The story was creative and all the characters were unique and lovable (minus Lee) and I loved how relaxed yet relevant the supernatural aspect was.
The story explores grief and love in such a lovely way. Even the cover is great - you understand the little details so much more after you’ve read it.
I didn’t go into this expecting to love it so much, but that just proves you can’t always use other people’s opinions to make choices about what you think you’ll enjoy.
I’m glad I’m read it and loved it, and I hope that if you pick it up, you do too!! Will definitely be reading the seven year slip when I get the chance :)

This book hit me in the feels. There was so much discussion about grief and living your life, and it made the romance into a slightly smaller plot in comparison. I love these characters and while I wish there was more to the romance, it was written very “show don’t tell” which still connected with me. I am all on board for Florence and Benji! I anticipated the plot twist early on and kept reading hoping and praying that I was right lol. So much meaning in how these characters navigated grief and learned to love.

This was just as perfectly lovely as I had heard it would be. A very sweet little romance with a vague paranormal twist and a steady undercurrent of grief. A very peaceful portrayal of death and moving on, given the circumstances. the foreshadowing was also very effective; I felt like I was let in on little secrets that kept me reading while it made sense the narrator overlooked those details.

It also had a little of the meta-magic of reading about a writer - both the writer mc and editor love interest really loved not only books in general, but genre romance, and it's nice to share that with them as one reads their story.

I was on my library’s waitlist for this book for what felt like forever and now I know why.

A sweet and romantic ghost story about a ghost writer with a predictable plot twist that I nonetheless thoroughly enjoyed to the last word. This book made me laugh, cry, and smile while crying and placing my hand over my heart.

The Day family was perfectly written with the eldest, middle, and youngest siblings with all their different roles and personalities.

There were multiple love stories woven into this book and all but one were beautiful to read.

To the next 27 people waiting to borrow this book from my local library: it’s worth the wait. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
