A familiar formula we find in the first half of the French 19th century of Stendhal Dumas Hugo which I'm not tired of as such and I think Balzac manages to reframe the emphasis here to keep things interesting. There's a Lear and a Timon in his character. Always very stressed out by the 19th-century poverty novel where everybody is always pawning off their grandmother's prize jewellery and so forth
slow-paced

Kurslitteratur.

Very depressing story. If you like to read depressing things you might like this book, but for me it was a chore to read.
