Such a cute series. I think I enjoyed it as much or more than my daughter.

That was so beautiful 😭
I literally teared up or started crying like 5 times. Clementine is THE GREATEST children's book character ive ever read (sorry, Ramona Quimby! You reigned in my heart for 11 years!). I just asbolutely adore her and her family is the sweetest literary family ever written. Like Jesus Christ, reading about them always makes me feel like I'm gonna have an emotional breakdown because I would give anythiiiiing to have parents like that! Her dad gives me the fuzziest of feelings and I can't even imagine what it would be like to have a mom like that.

Clementine's relationship with her teacher is also incredibly adorable and heartwarming. Reading this series always makes me feel like my heart is overflowing with warmth and love. Thanks, Sara Pennypacker. Gonna be so sad when I've finished the series because I could read dozens of these and never get tired of them

;_;

Really good for the 2nd and 3rd graders...and so cute! And so funny! I love the interaction Clementine has with adults. Cute, and the perfect level of child understanding for the age group. Margaret continues to annoy me because her obsession with cleaning stuff just doesn't ring true for me. The actual obsession does, kids are fixated on all sorts of things, but the level to which its taken, and the way it's played up for laughs is irritating. Clementine and her family, however, are drawn with pitch perfect accuracy. I wish all kids had parents as understanding.

It's hard to separate this book from the previous ones in the series - the importance of the Pentagon, for instance, resonated with me because of reading about its origins in an earlier work.

Very much enjoyed this one.

** I like to read the books I give to my nieces and nephews so I know what to talk about with them.**

My indy bookstore recommended this to me. Called it the "Ramona for this generation." I enthusiastically agree.

This book is for the 6-8 set. A wonderful book of all the ways Clementine gets in trouble, in one week! She is 8 years old and she IS paying attention, just not to the things adults want her to pay attention too. She has a wonderful creative side to her. And she has all those problems with her best friend that children that age have. I appreciate that her parents listen and encourage her in her creativity.

I read this book in about 40 minutes to myself. But if I were reading it aloud I might read 2-3 chapters a night. It would be hard to stop, but it would be a fantastic creative lesson to see what Clementine is getting into now! I look forward to reading the next books.

PS. The drawings? Are superb. I really love how they capture the moments that happen in Clementine's life. I would give this book a second set of stars for the drawings.
