I've heard his speech many times, but this quick read was exactly what I needed as a reminder to continue to thrive even when I'm not having the greatest day. This is great insight on how to start your day and deal with any challenges that may come across your path. I would recommend EVERYONE read this to add a little pep to your step!

120 pages but could’ve been 2 pages. Very repetitive.
Very quick & easy read, but great, simple ways to change or better yourself and maybe even the world.

quite a few enlightening points made in this book. the main premise of never giving up and making your bed no matter what is so inspiring as a reader. make your bed so that way if you have a bad day you at least can come home to a beautiful made bed knowing you accomplished 1 task (no matter how little) and to give yourself hope that tomorrow will be better!
A short to-the-point book focused on what Admiral McRaven sees as guideposts for success. Broken into roughly two parts, the first is the long story on how McRaven learned each of the lessons for success and the second is the actual speech he gave at UT Austin graduation.
Some of these lessons are, indeed, easy. "Make your bed every morning" is something we all can do. Some of the other lessons are easy to say "Don't quit" but much harder to implement. All in all, it's inspiring and has motivated me to keep up the practice of making my bed and maybe implementing a few other pieces of advice when the time is right.
