Literally the only book I did not finish in HS and used Spark Notes to do my report on. Practically unbearable reading.

I struggled with the Old English writing style of the book, but still enjoyed the plot. Having known the significance of the scarlet letter, I knew what to expect of the novel but was surprised by the depth of the topic. Forced myself a bit to get through the novel but I'm glad I took the time to read this classic.
This book shows its better to things out in the open. Living a lie is never good.
