What quick and cute read! Sometimes a short spicy romance is exactly perfect for the moment! I had so much fun reading this one! The characters were adorable and the setting and premise were so freaking cute!!

I wasn't expecting to love this book so much. Now I know we are still in August but I just wanted to read it. Despite being a 131 pages it could have still been like 300 and I think it would still be good, it's basically a hallmark movie but in a book and in the good way. It's a grumpy x sunshine but she is the grumpy and they make a bet to make her fall in love with Christmas again. I love Quinn and resonate with her, which is rare for me.
Despite this being a Hallmark book it was mentioned a couple of times. While I don't usually like the characters saying "My life is not some cliche Hallmark movie, where the corporate girl falls for the sweet, small-town guy when she comes home for Christmas to save the family business ..." the way that the next remark is made (in the same chapter!!!) I actually liked it, and I hate repetitive books or the characters saying something is cringe when they are doing the exact same.
I think that when authors try to write a Hallmark movie but in a book format it usually goes wrong but this one was a nice surprise. Here are the good things:
- It's a novella, yet it didn't feel rushed
- Mentions very important topics but in a light way (just a small phrase)
- The end of the book (not the epilogue) is amazing, usually in this books someone moves right away, here they tried long distance first and I loved that (this was what won the half star)
Not necessarily bad but it needed to be more worked on:
- I didn't understand why Parker was always in Quinn's house as a child
- I think Parker's parents could be a bit more mentioned
- Uggs for me are just house sleepers. You cannot go out in that when it's snowing or in a city that's very probable to snow.
- I do think it's weird that sometimes it's 'mom' and others 'Stacy'

This was such a fun read! I really enjoyed the concept of the book! I wish the chapters weren’t as long but other than that, I really enjoyed this! Quinn and Parker are so cute! I’m keen to read the second book next Christmas!
