I loved this book, in fact I love the series. The couples are amazing, the friend group is what all good friendships should be and I just love feeling satisfied when I finish a book.
Roman has been a hockey player and a dad first all his life. So when he has a memorable weekend in NY with someone he truly connects with you can understand why he was never able to forget her. But now she’s right in front of him again, only this time as his coach, making her off-limits.
Lexi and Roman were perfect together. The mutual longing had me longing right along with them. The way he and the Terror group take Lexi and her sisters into their fold left me so happy. I’m such a sucker for found family. This book was romantic and funny, emotional and full of tension. Thoroughly deserves the 5 stars.
Thank you to Good girls PR for the arc.

The 4th in this series and I think my favorite!
I really loved this book. This book felt mature to me in a way that forbidden romances and friends to lovers often doesn’t. Roman and Lexi try their hardest to be mature and to put their jobs first out of respect for each other. That respect and care is so refreshing. It felt natural when their relationship took such a quick turn. They talked out their issues immediately instead of letting them fester. And the conflict was a refreshing difference to OWD or miscommunication. We love a first female assistant coach!

#Review: *If You Love Me* - Helena Hunting - ARC [18+]
4.5/5✨
3.5/5🌶️
I was super happy for being able to be part of Helena's ARC team for this one! Thank you so, so much Helena and Good Girls Pr for the ARC and ALC early copies!💜
Alexandria Forester (Lexi) had a one night stand or better said a weekend stand with hockey player Roman Hammerstein. They haven't seen each other since then, until Lexi is picked up to work as couch assistant at the same team as Roman.
The tension between them was still very palpable and they found it so hard to ignore their feelings, but a romance connection couldn't be possible between them. Why? Because Lexi was his coach and it was against team rules. How will they be able to tame the wilde connection they have?
This book was super cute and fun, but at the same time offered us many steamy and explicit parts too. The chemistry between Lexi and Roman was incredible and I liked how much he cared for her well-being. Lexi had a hard time with her family too, after she and her sisters lost their parents/step-parents. Somehow, Roman won their hearts too, being impossible not to love him for how considerate and protective he was. Definitely an outstanding golden retriever!🤭
I really liked this forbidden romance, mixed with the sports parts, being great as a whole. The ending had some suspenseful moments, which kept me glued to the book. It was such a nice experience to be also able to listen to this story!

My favorite of the series--so far!
Ms Hunting teased this book so heavily with not only some tantalizing details at the end of the previous book ( If You Need Me ) but also the prequel novella "If You Stay the Night" that she released a chapter at a time though her newsletter that I was all but gagging for it by the time I finally got my hands on it--and the wait absolutely paid off.
Lexi and Roman (man, did that guy need to find his person in the worst way!)'s story is an earthshattering-two-night-stand-three-years-ago-oops!-now-we-work-for-the-same-organization story that has all kinds of extra complications for its MCs. Lexi's the first woman to be an assistant coach in the NHL and is raising her much younger sisters after a family tragedy. Her own relationship with her one remaining parent is less than ideal, and though she knows she can't get involved with a player, she and Roman have a history and it's next to impossible to keep her distance. Roman, on the other hand, knew going into the season that it would be his last and finding out that the mystery woman he'd been obsessed with for 3 years is his new boss is a complication he didn't need. Add in the age difference that seemed like so much more of a problem in book 2 ( If You Want Me ) when it was about his daughter and best friend and his need to be there for Lexi and her sisters when life happens, and early retirement starts to look more and more tempting to him.
I wasn't expecting Lexi and Roman to come to the conclusion they do about fixing their "problem," but I wasn't upset about it either. It took the whole workplace romance angle in a new direction and made it even more impossible to stop reading this one until I got to their much-anticipated HEA. As is to be expected in this series, the secondary characters add so much to the story (reading the other books in the series first is highly recommended, since every one of these characters is absolutely up in each others' business 24/7); I especially loved Lexi's younger sisters every second they were on the page. New Terror player Connor Grace was an unexpected delight, and I sincerely hope that the next book in the series will be his (and that it will be with the person I am shipping him so hard with right now!) Counting the days...
I listened to the audio version of this one, and really enjoyed the presentation. Both narrators did a fabulous job of bringing the characters and the story to life--if you enjoy audiobooks, I absolutely recommend this one!
