I keep saying I don't know how Helena is going to top this one in this series, and this one is no different. Holy cow this one is so good.
Tropes:
Hockey Romance
Assistant Coach x Player
Second Chance
Forbidden Romance
Single Dad/Single Mom
Lexi is the new assistant coach, and when Roman sees her, he realizes she's the woman he had a weekend with years ago that left him without saying anything. Now that they're in each other's orbit, he's got to figure out how to stay away from her for the sake of her job.
This book especially touched my heart. Lexi is the guardian of her two younger sisters after their mom and her stepdad died in a boating accident. I became the guardian to my youngest sibling after my parents passed in a car accident a few years ago, and I felt more seen in Lexi than I ever have before. Helena did a fantastic job with all of the emotions Lexi (and her sisters) go through, and I was blown away. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, Helena, for writing Lexi. Roman was as delicious as I was hoping he'd be. He has probably been my most anticipated guy on the team, and he was perfect.
🌶🌶.5
So many thank yous to Helena and GGPR, for sending me a copy of this book!

I am loving the Terror series and was so excited to read Roman and Lexi's story. Lexi and Roman had a two night stand years ago and hadn't seen each other since. Until Lexi is introduced as the Terror's assistant coach.
There is so much banter and chemistry between the two of them. Lexi is now the guardian of her two younger sisters also and is doing everything for them. I love how helpful Roman is with all of this. He is an amazing MMC.
I also really loved seeing the other characters again and how they embraced Lexi and her sisters too. Love this book and hockey series! Can't wait for more!

I am doing an ARC Review for If You Love Me book 4 of the Toronto Terror Series.
This is Roman and Lexi book.
HOLY SHIT ROMAN! We all need a Roman in our lives. He is the best just absolute best. He swept Lexi right off her feet and go her all the support she never had before. Lexi ended up with custody of her 2 younger sisters, but she never gave up. Years later after Roman and Lexi had a weekend together and never spoke again after, she showed up as his hockey coach.
This book was well written. I love Helena Huntings writing and cant wait to see what she brings to us in her next book. I recommend reading her books, I don't think you will be disappointed.

This is my first Helena Hunting's book and I have to admit, this is what I expect from a Hockey Romance trope 1000%. There is action, there are games, there is camaraderie and of course, there is romance.
This book has it all, the longing, the frustration of being off-limits, the tension, the stress of being together all the time and being unable to do anything.
Lexi (FMC) is the most amazing big sister with a badass career and with the opportunity of a lifetime breaking stereotypes in the sports industry. What she doesn't expect is that she hasn't been forgotten by the one and only, Roman Hammerstein.
Roman (MMC) is just a walking green flag, but the mouth on that man is filthy. He always shows up for Lexi, and that is one of my favorite things, ever! He understands the struggles of being a single parent and he looks for any excuse to be close to her.

A few years ago, Roman spent the weekend with a mystery woman. One that threw him for a loop and has kept him wondering about what could have been.
Now he knows who this mystery woman is. Alexandria, or Lexi, is now a coach on his team. And now 100% forbidden. Doesn't matter, though, because he doesn't care about her... does he?
We've only seen once side of Roman these past few books. Caring father, a shoulder for all of his teammates. Now we get to see the man. The one who wants a future that's just out of reach and really, really complicated to get.
Lexi is in a precarious position. If she has a relationship with Roman, it will definitely put her job on the line and her reputation at risk. She's got a lot on her shoulders, professionally and privately. It's important that she supports her sisters.
The whole Terror clan is involved. I loved how the girls opened their lives to Lexi and her sisters. The Terror is such a family. One that's going to have a lot of mixup with a new player. Y'all are not ready for this contentious group of boys to reveal past wrongs.
The longing in this book is top tier. It's rough when you KNOW you're perfect together, but being together can't happen.
Can. Not. Wait. For the next book. I love my main girl so much in each book. (The next FMC, I mean.)

Roman, Roman, Roman… sweet Daddy Roman, you swept me away with your silent, dominant desires.
You are so kind and caring, you’re talented, and you always put others first.
You take care & take charge, you love fiercely, you are full of love, passion & patience.
Lexi, you are strong & resilient. You are an inspiration to your sisters, you’re an amazing coach, & you are the one who got away.
I absolutely love the chemistry, passion and banter between Roman & Lexi. I adore Lexi’s sisters they are both amazing girls, both trying to fit in and survive in their new lives.
I absolutely love the found family dynamics of The Terror. I love how the whole crew comes together to be there for Lexi & her sisters.

Roman was not really on my radar until the epilogue of If You Need Me. I mean, I always loved him as Aurora’s daddo, but I didn’t think of him much more beyond that. That was wrong of me because Roman is AMAZING. Like, in every way AMAZING. I loved every last second of this book. I’ve been anxiously awaiting his story, and it did not disappoint!
