Big fan of Tim's stuff for a while now. Was really really looking forward to this book, and although I'm VERY happy with the purchase (if you enjoyed the podcasts, you'll love the book - fact.), I'm also slightly disappointed and feel a bit cheated for two reasons -
1. The book is organised by interviewees, not by subjects (although from some of his promo materials I understood that it would be structured by topics)
2. There is really not that much of new content. I've listened to the vast majority of the episodes, read vast majority of the blog posts and although Tim says that there is 200+ pages of brand new content - there just isn't. There are some new bits here and there but altogether it's just a book of highlights from the podcast and the blog.
But I love it anyway. Gave me 100s of ideas, reminded me of 1000s of tips from various interviews that I wanted to try out etc. This will definitely be my go-to reference in times of need.
P.S. IMO "Wealth" is by far the best section of the book.

So much knowledge and information a brilliant read, one that I will come back to often for hints and tips.
In a way, it is the notes from his podcast and gives a lot of info. But this is the biggest issue with the book, you get too much information. So, the book although gives the best nuggets from an interview, but when you present 100+ such notes, the whole purpose is defeated.
A lot of this advice clash. And there were few people, I am not sure why they were interviewed in the first place.

Okay. Haven't read it all the way through. But for what it is (a self-help book that has selected sections from the Tim Ferris podcast), it's pretty great.
Not much depth. But there is a lot of amazing, action-packed, concise advice in here from super-achievers from many different disciplines. It's was definitely worth the buy for me.
However, if you wanted to. You can just go through his podcast and listen to it (one of the reasons its not in my rare 5 star list). In addition, some of the guests and their answers seemed unnecessary. Different guests tend to repeat the same advice, etc. Tbh probably could have cut the book by half. But like I said super informative, actionable, and for self-improvement junkies def worth a buy..

Wow, fantastic book. I'm happy I bought the hardcover, as this will be a book I pick up, put down, chew on, wonder about, and pick up again for a long time to come.
I enjoyed this book. This book is a collection of Tim Ferriss' notes from his various podcast interviews. I haven't found the time to listen to Tim Ferriss' podcast so most of this was new to me. This book has added many, many books to my to-read list and has pushed quite a few ideas into my head. I'll definitely be reviewing sections of this book again.

This Moster is better than tons of non fictions out there. This is an Exceptional Book and Has almost everything in it. Every Page of this book is worth re-reading and you will be Bombarded with Wisdom. The Simple and Humorous Style of this book also made reading it such a Pleasent and Wonderful Experience. It's a book that will be re-readed tons of times
The material is pretty good - in a very "written for men" kind of way. And that's fine. I suspect Ferris' podcast is much the same. I haven't ever listened to it. But he has edited the interviews in a way that I find I can apply at least some of it to my life.
Here are my two biggest complaints about the book: the size. 600 pages of hardbound book. I prefer hardcopy books that I can write in and put sticky notes and really connect with. But after weeks of trying to read this in hardcopy, I broke down and bought the Kindle version. The book was just too big for me to hold. Adding insult to injury, this almost 700 page book of 67 short interviews plus additional reference material throughout, sometimes covering overlapping topics, sometimes covering completely different ideas, which could be an excellent reference book IF YOU CAN FIND WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR does not have an index.
I recommend buying it. But I recommend buying the Kindle version. At least then you can search by keyword.

Tim Ferriss is not for everyone. His book 4-Hour Work Week had a profound impact on how I thought about and approached life. It is probably the one book I have gifted most.
I never really got into his podcasts, more because I don't always have time to play podcasts, and so this book is the perfect read to get a sense of the thoughts expressed by a variety of the people he has interviewed. There is something for everyone and I will definitely be reading through this again, especially the tools that people shared, the books they have read, etc.
It is a long book but an easy read. I give it 5 stars because the content resonated so strongly as opposed to focusing on the writing style or book structure. I've already recommended it to two friends.
