Huge potter head here so i really enjoyed this
I absolutely loved the nostalgia and insight of hearing Draco/Tom’s perspective on the creation of the Harry Potter movies. Is he Draco or is Draco him? He also openly discusses his battle with mental health in a way that opens the conversation for others. Loved it so much! “My father will be hearing about this!”

Unlike the title suggests, this was much more ‘during the wand’ fare, of which I had already learned a good deal about while watching the HBO 20th anniversary documentary (which I highly recommend). The audiobook was engaging enough, and I am happy for him that he has found his path in life.
Loved the funny quirks in this book. He made it funny but realistic. I could feel that he meant every word and was passionate about getting out the ups and downs of his life. He didn't hold back. Which was grand.

An absolutely beautiful and poignant memoir.
Now, yes, I am a devoted Potterhead, but no, I can promise that did not influence this review.
I always liked Tom Felton, thought he was a great actor and a good musician. To that list, I can now add excellent writer and narrator.
Of course, when I saw he was publishing a memoir, I knew I had to read it. Nothing could have prepared me for it. Especially listening to Tom read it himself. The stories he had to tell were all wonderful and evocative of childhood, both his and my own, and his extreme candidness about his own experience with mental illness were very poignant and relatable. However, what truly pushed this memoir over the top for me was listening to Tom tell the tales. It added an extra level of intimacy and reality to it, because you could hear him reminiscing as he read. You could hear the fondness in his voice, talking about his memories and experiences, his little chuckles as he spoke of his mischievous pranks or the seriousness as he spoke of hard times. It was another magical experience and all I have left to say is thank you, Tom, for sharing your life and battles with your fans.
