Not my usual era to read from, but the cover caught my eye. And the title!
Kitty Talbot, the protagonist, is very aware of her financial situation. As the eldest fo 4 sisters, parents deceased, and loads of debt against the family's house she needs to marry rich-- and quickly! I loved how honest and conniving Kitty was. Overall, an enjoyable read.

I was really enjoying this book pretty much until the last couple of chapters when it became obvious we weren’t going to get much romance in this romance book. 

I loved the development of Kitty and Radcliffe’s relationship and the adventures they got up to, but was massively disappointed that

we got one on-page kiss, a proposal, and a vaguely alluded to morning alone. No epilogue, no spice (which is fine) but the romantic payoff was sorely lacking. I mean it wasn’t even a very descriptive kiss FFS, I really could have done with seeing them both in love a little more (particularly from Radcliffe’s perspective).

Really enjoyed it! Stakes were clear from the start, author got you on the main character’s side instantly, romance was fun and sweet. All in all, strongly recommend!
