The first trilogy of VA books is a tight series, even for such sprawling books.
While Frostbite is the worst of the three, it works extremely well in conjunction with Shadow Kiss. The teenage of the characters does slightly overpower the plot, but that is a feature, not a bug of this story.
That said, god I wish Rose was gay. It would make this so much better

I really enjoyed the whole series and the sexual chemistry is on fire between the two main characters. There is definite character progress throughout as you see the heroine start to mature.

Though I was way outside of the YA age group when I read this I loved it! If you weren't hooked by the first book ... you will be now!
The world was SO well created and the characters jump off the page. It is easy to fall in love or hate with them.
Each book got better as you grew to know the characters, there dynamics and the conflicts in their world! Plenty of action and MUCH better done than the movie that followed years later!
Three books into the series and I can't wait for more ... Bring on Book 4!

I read all three books one after the other and I loved them. I'm completely hooked!
This might be my new favourite YA vampire series.

Didn't expect much, so I was surprised. The stories weren't that predictable and the first book is way better then the movie. The only thing I didn't like was the fact, that in the end she did get the guy and they sex and _of course_ something bad happends. Is that the way to say: Don't have sex before marriage?

Ho letto questo libro quasi tutto d'un fiato e posso sorprendentemente dire che mi è piaciuto ancor di più del primo volume della serie.
Ho apprezzato di più il personaggio di Rose, che nel primo libro avevo sofferto ben poco, e in generale mi è piaciuta la crescita di tutti i personaggi nel corso del racconto.
Mi ha lasciata con quella voglia di leggere tutto il resto subito che nei libri è sempre un buon segno.
Poi in questo romanzo viene introdotto il personaggio di Adrian, che avevo amato in "Bloodlines" e la curiosità di consocere di più di questo personaggio è molto forte.
L'unica cosa di cui mi dispiaccio è che la relazione Rose x Dimitri non mi suscita alcuna emozione. Non è che non mi piacciano assieme, mi lasciano semplicemente indifferente, cosa che non avviene con Lissa e Christian.
Sono proprio curiosa di scoprire cosa riserva il futuro a tutti loro e sono sempre più presa da tutta la questione dello "spirito". Tra l'altro, Lissa fuori depressione è decisamente un ottimo personaggio. Anche lei nel primo libro mi era risultata fin troppo lagnosa, non ero riuscita ad empatizzare per niente con lei e l'avevo quasi odiata per tutto il tempo. Invece in questo volume non ho odiato praticamente nessuno e mi sono avvicinata molto di più ad ogni singolo personaggio.
