I finished the book the same day I started it and loved every single page.

The plot idea was interesting, but the lack of development in both characters and world building left the story lackluster. Several parts were confusing (how did the character know that???) and overall, just felt meh. I won't be reading book two.

I have never read a book so fast, I devoured it!
Beauty and The Beast retelling with Fae and a human girl, need I say more?!
Get ready for action, mystery and a little bit of spice!
Troupes include:
Slow burn
Forbidden love
Enemies to lovers
Forced proximity
I loved how Ingrid mixed modern times with magic and fae all in the same book, it was fantastically written!

I wasn’t really sure of this when I first started it but once I got about halfway through, I really enjoyed it. Some parts annoyed me but I think they were meant to annoy me, it was almost like nothing was working out of them, no matter how hard they tried.

This book was meh for me.  I liked the slow burn, but then it just suddenly shifted from "I'm a total gentleman and ignore the beast who forces me to be forward in stating my attraction to you" to "you're mine and lets fuck".  Some of the tension was okay and the banter made me smile, but it frequently felt a little more forced than organic.  I'd consider it an ETL, but a middle-of-the-road one; not amazing, but not terrible. The world building was interesting and seemed vast compared to others in this genre.  The ending seemed super rushed though, and not very impactful.  Like they got to the end and for all the build up, it was just a quick and explained ending that sort of tried to be epic.  I'll read book 2- it was nice to get a lot of plot and I'm interested to see where it goes.  The editing was generally good and the writing was fine. Probably won't reread this one, but I'm not mad that I read it this first time.

Slow burn, interesting plot

A Prince So Cruel (Healer of the Kingdoms - completed trilogy) is a great quick read. Gets steamier in the second book. Human girl with healing magic, Fae prince, kidnapping, split personality (think Jekyll & Hyde). I thoroughly enjoyed it.
