I was very confused when I first started this volume as it had been awhile since I last read this series, but once I got into it I was enjoying it! I do really like this series but the misogyny is getting a bit annoying. I know Light is supposed to be an ass but the amount of misogynistic comments that are included in this series is very over the top. Other than that, I’m excited to see how this series wraps up!

That's the penultimate installment done!
This edition collected volumes 9 & 10, whilst not the most action packed, still a very twisty and intriguing read. The addition of Near and Mellow definitely have spiced things up a bit for Light, plus the introduction of Mikami has definitely amped up the story more. Sadly, not enought Misa in this volume... There's always room for more Misa! I Also, Matsuda is such a sweet angel baby, he makes me cackle, he is adorable.
Now onto the final volume... I'm not emotionally prepared! But hey, then I can rewatch the anime!

I've loved this series for years. Long long ago I've read it and now I finally collected all the volumes and read them. The first 3 and a half volumes are amazing. The author's brain is amazing for creating the mental game between two geniuses. This series will forever hold a special place in my heart. But the last 2 and a half volumes felt more like a side story and were less interesting.
