hey if there’s one thing i love it’s star wars

Ugh. This was kinda of a drag. I love Padme as much as the next guy, which made this book is bearable. Just nothing happens. Now I don’t mind talking and walking around, but there’s no fighting until the end of the book. Which could be fine. But the book isn’t good enough to make that okay. The last 100 pages were good. And the epilogue was great. Bring on the next one.

2.5/5 stars!

I absolutely love Star Wars I have been obsessed with it for quite some years now and for some reason the films are my favourite, the series’s are amazing but for some reason I have yet read a Star Wars novel I have enjoyed. Padme is my favourite Star Wars character so when I found out she had her own book series I jumped at it. But it really is just politics and it’s also about her Handmaidens. I’m sorry but I just don’t care about them! I want Padme!

It’s just incredibly boring also it was just a slog to get through. I feel terrible as I’m so glad Padme is getting some love and the covers are beautiful but this book was so incredibly dull and I had such high hopes for it. But it wasn’t what I thought it was going to be at all.

I was just losing interest in the story and the writing was a bit too young for me

Liked this better the second time around! 3.5 stars. There’s a lot of focus on politics in this book, as it deals with the beginning of Padme’s time in the Galactic Senate. But it also shows a lot of her handmaidens and what they can do, which is really interesting to see. I love the scenes when they switch places!

The audiobook was quite good; I think that had a lot to do with me enjoying it more this time. It’s narrated by Catherine Taber who voices Padme in The Clone Wars, which was cool!
