Goldin has a way of sucking you into a story for sure. I felt like I was watching a movie with the way this one unfolded. The ease in which the chapters flip flopped was perfection. I personally love escape rooms, so I was instantly intrigued by this page turner. I had so many thoughts and questions through out this entire book. I highly recommend going in blind too!

I absolutely loved this book! It had me hooked from the very beginning, wondering how the two stories are going to tie into each other by the end. I did not want to put this book down so I could find out how it all ended!

Knjiga je ok ali prevod na srpski slab. Termini iz biznisa prevedeni bukvalno, a bez konsultacija sa ljudima koji rade u biznisu i koji koriste te termine.
I prevod “escape room” kao “igra bekstva iz klopke” nije najsrećnije rešenje.
Što se knjige tiče zaplet ima vrlo malo veze sa naslovom, što ne zameram toliko, koliko zameram post festum obrazloženju gde se sve akcije osmišljavaju na konto posledica koje smo prvo pročitali.
I prevod “escape room” kao “igra bekstva iz klopke” nije najsrećnije rešenje.

I was ready to give this book a bad rating because the beginning was so incredibly boring and I didn’t have any hope for the rest of it. BUT THEN it pulled a total 180 and got super interesting!

I was super excited for this book! Then, I read a couple of reviews from some book friends of mine and they weren't super happy with it. Due to that, I put this book off for quite a while because I was nervous it wasn't going to live up to my expectations. However, I am glad I went ahead and trusted my gut enough to read it myself because I COULDN'T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN! I loved it!
I will say "The Escape Room" part of this book doesn't really go on for very long in the book. So much so that this makes me question the title being "The Escape Room". However, I believe this title really draws people in and will make them want to read it more than if it was just called "The Elevator" (because that's mainly what this book is centered around).
Sure, there were definitely some parts that were cheesy. Sure, the characters were very annoying and the book was super unrealistic and unattainable. But, I still loved it. I was immensely wrapped up in the storyline. I was sad when I was forcing myself to put this book down at midnight (because I had work the next day) when I was at 80% complete after reading it all day.
I definitely recommend! Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC version of this book in exchange for this review.

Sure, this was basically the concept of Gone Girl ripped off into The Escape Room storyline. But personally, I think this was done better than Gone Girl. I hated Gone Girl but I forced myself to read the book and watch the movie because of the hype around it. But, I loved the twist in Gone Girl.I definitely recommend! Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC version of this book in exchange for this review.
