The way Snow becomes more and more chilling holy hell

Well, it didn’t make me like Snow - which I guess was the goal. Also... “snow lands on top?” Corny. Vom. Overall, I was entertained, but Sejanus’ death was so rushed and the Lucy/Coriyo lovers to enemies scene at the end was also rushed and weird. Another general note: the world of the Capitol wasn’t built out very well in this book and I was a little lost on timeline/context because it was very philosophy heavy. BUT I am excited to re-watch the Hunger Games movies for fun!

DNF harder to read after seeing the movie

Truthfully, Suzanne Collins just cannot miss for me. Though this was not my favorite of her books, I still ate it up the whole way through. I do regret watching the movie first because I feel like I was not as attached to the story had I read the book first. But all in all it Snow is evil, that’s evident.

Excellent writing and fantastic storytelling; my only complaint is that the pacing felt uneven throughout the book. (Although that might have been on purpose.) A terrific addition to the universe Collins has created. I was hooked from the start, so sometimes I read from the book, and sometimes I listened to the audiobook.
