Same thoughts as the previous book: the story and art were amazing, but this felt very word-heavy, to the point where I was seeing a lot of narration that I think could have been cut completely, as it was sharing information that was either already in the images, or could have been.

A great finale to The Kane Chronicles, lots of action, heartfelt moments and perfect for those who want an easy fantasy read. I love how Rick uses mythology in all his books and the hints at other gods and other problems makes me crack up a little bit. Please could we have a little appreciation for Walt/Anubis as well, like Sadie has the best guy.

cute adaptation of the series but definitely recommend reading the original books beforehand. for condensing purposes a ton of my favorite parts and the characters (and their relationships with each other) were extremely diluted.

overall fun read though for some reason the 2nd volume was disappointing as an adaptation and as a graphic novel in general.
