I enjoyed the book, but the fact it was a screenplay threw me off and took away some magic. Wasn't bad, still prefer the original series.

I feel so underwhelmed. This shouldn't be linked with the rest of the HP series. This is more Fan Fiction and clearly fit into the category of drama since time jumped all over the place. Not all the characters were very well developed. Albus was an annoying brat. I couldn't get past his "victim" phase. I also knew what was going to happen with Delphi immediately. So there wasn't much suspense for me to look forward to. It wasn't a waste of time, because I DO want to know what happened so I can discuss it, but I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone.

The plot was not so great....but I still loved reading these characters again.

I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. It was very ok.

Meh. It didn't really feel like the voice of Rowling.

Awesome!

Thank you, JK Rowling, for continuing the story. The adventures continued with some great twists. Can't wait to see the play!

Really disappointed with this piece of work being called the 8th Harry Potter book. The voices of all of the characters are all wrong, which isn't surprising because it wasn't written by J.K. Rowling. This is fan fiction that I wish was not being endorsed by Rowling. Also by virtue of the fact that it is a (probably 2 hr long) play, too many things happen in too short of a period of time. There is no time for the quality of character and plot development that the millions of HP fans love about the true series. Completely agree with Riley's earlier review.
