My boys are obsessed with this book! Wanted to note it for friends. It is a longer chapter book but they argue daily over who gets to read it at bedtime.
Action, adventure, lost parents, pirates, and buried treasure make this a very appealing book. I would recommend this to fans of Gordon Korman and Dave Barry. Both my kids loved this one too as it is funny and full of ridiculous adult characters and amazingly competent children.

Great adventure story for my students. Can't wait to see home the next book plays out...
We had a couple of stops and starts reading aloud together but Liam and I enjoyed this one! Great ending, thrilled to hear Liam say, "now we gotta read the next one!"
The book version of a cartoon-like story, with unrealistic characters and plot, but a fun-fast-paced read. Oh, and pirates.
This book left a lot to be desired, but I'll pass it to my students and see what they think.
